Kim Kardashian Wears Extreme Corset In Sheer Metal Dress At The Met Gala

Kim Kardashian proved once again why she's invited to fashion's biggest night, arriving to the 2024 Met Gala in a custom sheer silver dress with metal accents and a corset that cinched in her waist to extreme degree.

The SKIMS founder made waves when she walked the red carpet on Monday (May 6), showing off her tiny waist in a custom look from Maison Margiela, per Vogue. Designed by John Galliano, the detailed look included an armor-like bustier top with floral accents, keeping with the theme of "Garden of Time" for the new "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The sheer silver chainmail skirt kept the floral and leave motifs flowing while she added a simple gray shawl to wrap around her shoulders.

The most notable aspect of her look, however, was the silver corset cinched in drastically at her waist, so much so that she seemingly required help from attendees to walk up the stairs, per People.

The Kardashians star kept her makeup simple to let the dress itself shine bright, completing her look with her platinum blonde hair worn in natural waves. Kardashian first gave a hint at what her Met Gala look could look like when she traded her brunette locks for another platinum look. She wore a similar style to the 2022 Met Gala when she controversially wore a Marilyn Monroe dress.
