Draft Day tryouts conducted
Posted Saturday, May 4th 2013 @ 4pm

(Garfield Heights) - Crews from the movie “Draft Day” held a casting call for former football players, for scenes that will be filmed in Cleveland or Columbus. The session was held at Garfield Heights High School.

Real Style, a leading casting and talent resource, is looking for football players ages 18 to 25-years-old and all ethnicities. The casting call/try outs were for those who have played college football only.

There was no contact during the tryouts, but basic football drills were conducted. Participants had to wear appropriate workout gear and shoes.

Many of the participants had played high school and college football. Most said they felt good about their changes of landing a role in the film.

If hired, players must be available to rehearse on May 16th and 17th, and shoot May 18 in Cleveland or possibly Columbus.

Extras are used throughout filming to provide authenticity to scenes and to reinforce the creative vision of the director. Extras are paid for their work on set.
