(Akron) - A bus driver is locked up in Summit County for trying to take liberties with a pair of developmentally disabled women he was responsible for taking to their day programs.
48-year old Reinaldo Luis Ortiz Velazquez, while working for a private firm, picked up a 22-year old woman and headed to her day program Sept. 27.
That's when police say the Stow man pulled into a secluded area and asked her to remove her clothes. Velazquez then drove the woman to her day program.
She alerted the Summit County Sheriff's Office to the incident. They launched an investigation where Inspector Bill Holland says this was not an isolated incident.
Velazquez is accused of picking up a 23 year old developmentally disabled woman in June. He once again pulled into a secluded area and asked the woman to perform sex acts on him in exchange for $12.00.
She refused and Velazquez told her to keep the money in exchange for her silence over the incident.
He's locked up in the Summit County Jail on felony charges of abduction and compelling prostitution and a misdemeanor count of soliciting.
