(Cleveland) - A retired Cleveland Police officer, accused of killing his own nephew, has been aquitted.
Sixty-year old Dale Edwards was charged with aggravated murder, murder and felonious assault in the shooting death of 25-year old Antoine Graves.
The jury deliberated the case for four days before reaching a verdict Friday in the courtroom of Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Brian Corrigan.
Prosecutors claimed Edwards fatally shot his nephew in a dispute over rent. Defense attorneys say Edwards acted in self-defense.
