(Cleveland) - A woman indicted on charges of aggravated murder, murder, endangering children, and felonious assault was arraigned today.

Twenty-four year old Angel Glass appeared in court via video from the Cuyahoga County Jail. her appearance was scheduled for Friday morning but was delayed until afternoon, after the 7 months pregnant Glass became ill and had to be taken to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge John O'Donnell accepted Glass's not guilty plea, and orderED her held without bond. Because Glass is broke, O'Donnell assigned two court appointed lawyers to represent the Ovington Avenue resident at taxpayer expense.

According to prosecutors, Glass hit her 5-year-old son with a hair brush on October 23 and then began to hit him with a belt, because the victim did not comply when Glass told him to go to a corner.

Police say the child became limp and 911 was called. On the next day when officers arrived to execute a search warrant, cops contend twenty-two year old Larry Wanzo refused to allow them into the home.

The Cuyahoga County Coroner ruled the child died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck, trunk, and extremities. The victim suffered abrasions and contusions to his forehead, nose and cheeks. The victim also had older injuries covering his body including fractured wrists.

Wanzo was indicted on obstructing justice. Both Glass and Wanzo have a pretrial hearing Judge David Matia on Decemember 3rd. Wanzo is being held on $250,000 bond. Because the victim was under the age of 13-years-old, Glass faces the death penalty.
