Start doing your homework... it's time to rock enroll! Entries are now being accepted for the 17th Annual Tri-C® High School Rock Off. Click here for the official entry form.
All types of performers are welcome to enter…Rock, solo acoustic, Hip Hop, Country, Jazz, Rap, Pop, Funk, Metal… you name it, we want you! To be eligible for competition, all band members must be enrolled in grade 12 or below during the time of performance. Band members in junior high (grade 7 or 8) are eligible, although at least 50% of band members must be in grades 9 through 12. You must submit this entry form with the required $60.00 registration fee (check or money order payable to Live Nation, no cash please) and a three-song demo tape or CD of your music by Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM. Indicate the band name on check or money order. Entries will be judged on musicianship and professionalism. Registration fee will be refunded if your band is not selected to perform.

Tickets are $10.00 for the semifinals and $10.00 for the Final Exam. Tickets can be purchased through participating Rock Off bands. There are no service charges on tickets purchased through the bands. A limited number of tickets will be available through the House of Blues box office and Ticketmaster with applicable service charges and handling fees. If supplies last, tickets will be available at House of Blues on Rock Off performance days only.

All of the prize money is compliments of the local School of Rock franchise. The winning band will receive $1,000 cash and $200 for their respective high school music program. Second place will receive $250 cash and $100 for their respective high school music program and Third place will receive $150 cash.
The winning band will receive the opportunity to open up for a Live Nation or House of Blues Concert and an appearance on Tri-C®’s cable television program Crooked River Groove and Perform a 45-minute concert in front of a studio audience while being professionally videotaped and recorded. In addition, the band will be featured on the three-time Emmy Award-winning program Words & Music, with an interview and unplugged performance. Both shows are produced by Cuyahoga Community College's Smart TV, with support from the Recording Arts & Technology Program. .
