News came out today that Beyoncé lip-synced her amazing rendition of the National Anthem yesterday at the Inauguration. My response: who woulnd't want to use a pre-recorded version?

The back story is that she only had one night to rehearse with the Marine Band and it was the night before the big day.
Beyoncé arrived in DC, went to the studio with the band rehearsed and recorded the rendition you heard the next day. It's not like she was lip-syncing to someone else's voice. It was hers, just taped 12 hours beforeahnd.
A rep for the band had this to say:
“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day." She adds, “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the reason why.”
So... does it matter? What do you think?
NOT TOTALLY UNRELATED: Kelly Clarkson was said to have performed live.
